The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain Fellowship Octet – among the most talented young choral singers in the UK - are delighted to return to Waddesdon Estate this summer for their annual recital amidst the cutting edge artwork and architecture of Windmill Hill. Featuring music from the Renaissance to the present day, this performance is the culmination of a year-long programme of choral activity for these emerging young professional singers. From sublime polyphony by Byrd and Victoria to well-known favourites by Parry and Pearsall, and contemporary music from around the world, this concert demonstrates the breadth and vibrancy of a living choral tradition that embraces both old and new. With virtuosic singing from these eight talented young musicians this event promises to be a truly memorable and uplifting summer’s evening. Performance highlights include Butterfly by Mia Makaroff and Ave Maria by Hilary Campbell.
