Description

"[The National Youth Choir is]...a young choir on blazing form." - The Arts Desk, July 2018

"How thrilling to see a choir of around 80 boys on stage...Even more thrilling to hear the full-bodied sound they produced." - Wales Arts Review, April 2017

NYCGB's flagship National Youth Choir and National Youth Boys' Choir join forces for the first time for a concert that's all about discoveries, from the dawn of musical notation in the Middle Ages to the triumphs of modern science. There's also a chance to discover brand new music by Jessica Curry, known to millions worldwide for her award-winning music for video games.

For this concert, we are delighted to share the stage with Inspired Voices, the newly-formed Nottinghamshire Music Hub chamber choir. This collaboration is part of NYCGB, Inspire CLP, Nottinghamshire Music Hub and Nottingham Royal Concert Hall's three-year partnership to develop choral singing in Nottinghamshire secondary schools.
