The National Youth Training Choir (Course B Members) perform their annual Summer 2019 showcase concert

Training Choir presents an exploration of narratives of global discovery, colonialism, and how the movement of people has impacted musical cultures. Featuring musical styles from around the world, including South Africa (Indodana and Bawo Thixo Somandia), Haiti (Men Ale, Men Vini), and Uruguay (Rondo Catonga), this programme questions whose stories are told in the way that we listen to music, and how we can use choral music as an art form to be representative of a diverse range of global cultures and peoples. The choir celebrates their role as musical storytellers and custodians of cultural narratives, in a powerful and eclectic concert full of brightness and colour.
