Description:

Oceans are theatres of love and catastrophe, the medium of separation and exile. The sea, and its changing form, colour and character, has provided a limitless source of inspiration for composers across the ages. From Veljo Tormis’ evocation of young Finnish sailors leaving their sweethearts for war, to the most famous example of musical correspondence in musical history, this programme from the outstanding teenage voices of the National Youth Training Choir is sure to broaden your horizons.

Part of NYCGB's 2019 'Discovery' Season
