Programme Our work with Schools & Music Hubs All Learning & Engagement What we do Work in schools Our work with Schools & Music Hubs National Youth Choir works with young people and teachers across the country through schools projects and in partnership with a variety of Music Hubs. Run by experienced National Youth Choir Vocal Leaders and supported by National Youth Choir Fellows, our workshops empower young people through singing. Our workshops are: Accessible & inclusive for all Fun & energetic with a wide range of repertoire Led by high-quality vocal leaders It is important to us that our workshops have as few barriers as possible to taking part, and so all songs are taught by ear, with no need for specialised equipment or knowledge of music reading. Primary Schools Action-packed general singing workshops focused on finding the fun in singing and developing vocal skills. Encouraging singing and vocal confidence Fun musical games Introduction to general musicianship Suitable from Year 3 upwards for groups no larger than 90 pupils (3 classes) Sessions are typically 1 hour per group. Secondary Schools Tailored workshops to support singing in secondary schools focused on increasing confidence in musical skills. Increasing vocal confidence Encouraging changing voices Supporting general musicianship Choir masterclasses Teacher CPD Workshops for teachers and music leaders focused on encouraging singing in your school and providing the tools and repertoire for getting the most out of your young singers.
