In her own words:

I first became involved in the arts professionally when I promoted a Cinco de Mayo Festival in Colorado. That was in the early '90s, but my involvement with the arts had begun in childhood - I drew before I could talk! Having obtained a business degree, I travelled for many years and eventually settled back in the UK in 2000. I then promoted music specifically as PR Officer for Royal Northern Sinfonia and later as Head of Media and PR for Sage Gateshead. My degree reinforces my general administrative activity for the National Youth Choir - though sometimes when work gets very busy I tend to find that yoga and Dr Bach's flower remedies are of more practical assistance.  For me, what makes the National Youth Choir special is the way in which it enables like-minded young singers from around the UK to make friends, share experiences, have fun and take their singing further in life, whether professionally or purely for pleasure.
