My background and my heart are in youth arts. I was lucky when I was growing up to have some amazing experiences with youth theatre which introduced me to opportunities I would never have had otherwise. As a result I really believe in the power of inspirational arts opportunities for young people and want to be a part of ensuring as many people as possible have access to them.

National Youth Choir has been on an impressive journey over the last few years, and I feel there is huge potential to build on this great work and develop the organisation’s role as a national champion for young people singing together. That I can do this and remain based in my native North East is amazing!
