This Christmas help more young singers to 'hit the high notes'.

Between 3rd and 22nd December, we’re aiming to raise £15,000 to support over 25 talented young singers to take part in NYCGB's life-changing programmes and concerts in 2020.

Each year, one in five of our members requires financial assistance towards the cost of their course fees, membership and travel. To support these talented young singers, NYCGB needs to raise in excess of £140,000 from a range of sources each year.  Here's what your support can mean to just one of our young singers:

Money isn’t something that comes as easily to my family. Without the funding, there wouldn’t have been a possibility for me to attend a course. I am so thankful for the bursary as I adore attending the NYCGB courses. The experiences that the courses consist of aren’t opportunities that can be found anywhere else. Being able to go and sing with so many people that share the same passion as myself is the most incredible feeling and I’m so glad that I have had this amazing opportunity.
Please donate to our 2019 Christmas Appeal and help ensure that all talented young singers, regardless of their financial circumstances, can hit the high notes in 2020. Donations can be made by clicking the above donate button, via Facebook or via Instagram. Every donation will be gratefully received and will go directly towards supporting over 25 young people to take part in our programmes in 2020.

Without the financial aid of the bursary, I would never have been able to even dream of attending the National Choir Courses. I am so so grateful for all that the choir has provided me with over the years, both in terms of the life long friendships I have made, musical contacts I have been introduced to, new and exciting repertoire that I have been given the opportunity to sing, developing skills to enable me to become a better musician, and all the while nurturing and increasing my love for music - something that I share with everyone on the courses. My confidence and singing technique have also developed so much throughout my time in the choir. I would not have been able to experience any of this without the help of the bursary - so thank you sooo much!

100% of the total raised by the appeal will be awarded to NYCGB members who have applied for financial assistance. The awards will be made by an appointed representative of the Alumni Champions Committee in January 2020. If we exceed our target of £15,000 additional monies will go towards supporting even more young people in 2020.

The NYCGB Christmas Appeal is an official Giving Tuesday partner.
