If you have a passion for singing with others that you want to take to the highest level, and if you've got talent and potential, then an NYCGB audition really can be the start of something amazing for you.

We understand that individual auditions can be intimidating, but we always want everyone to do their best. We do everything we can to make the process clear, friendly, and supported. If you're interested in auditioning, please read all the information in this section of our website, and if you've still got questions you are welcome to contact us.

How it works:

1. Sign up
If you haven't already done so, sign up to our mailing list. That way you'll be guaranteed to receive updates and information as soon as they're published.
2. Book

When booking opens, you'll receive an email from us (make sure to sign up!). You'll be able to book your audition via our website, and choose from a range of locations, dates and time slots. It costs £35 to book an audition and financial assistance is available.

3. Prepare
Once you've booked your audition, it's time to make sure you're as prepared as you can be. We have lots of information and resources on this website to help you.
4. Audition
The big day! Our panelists want to assess your current ability, but they are also looking to see your potential, your readiness to learn and your enthusiasm. Do your best, be your best.
5. Get your result
We email results once all auditions have taken place. If successful, you'll be asked to accept your place in the choir to which you've been allocated, based on your age and ability. All candidates are sent feedback on their audition so, even if you're not successful this time, you'll receive helpful tips and advice on how to improve your singing.
