In her own words:

As a child I loved music and dance and thrived in my home town of Kendal in Cumbria. I was desperate to join NYCGB and at the age of 11 joined the Girls’ Choir in the year it was formed. I stayed with NYCGB for years, never missing a course and completing two tours with the National Youth Choir, whilst also studying musical theatre in London at Laine Theatre Arts and Guildford School of Acting. My work as a professional singer took me on tour worldwide, but I continued to come back to the UK each year to staff on the NYCGB courses. Work brought me back to the UK, working as a singing teacher with various choirs, music hubs and schools. After moving to County Durham last year I am delighted to now be part of the NYCGB permanent staff team. I feel my experience as a teacher in the past few years and my post graduate degree in Teaching and Learning for Higher Education will only help me in this role. NYCGB has been a huge part of my life and I only hope I can instil this passion into others.
