NYCGB AlumniWelcome to the NYCGB Alumni community! If you are a former member of any NYCGB Choir, then you still part of our NYCGB family! We’d love you to stay connected to our work and the ever-growing community of talented NYCGB graduates across the UK and abroad. Whether you’ve recently been a member or were involved back in the early years – you are very welcome. We are so proud that our alumni have gone on to achieve such wonderful things. NYCGB alumni are graduates from across NYCGB’s 37-year history, including doctors, nurses, teachers, conductors, CEOs as well as professional singers from The Swingles, BBC Singers, The Sixteen, Tenebrae, Gabrieli Consort, Monteverdi Choir, Glyndebourne, Scottish Opera and Royal Opera House Choruses and come together from as far afield as America, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Germany. Whatever your journey, we’d love each and every one of you to stay in touch. There are a number of ways you can choose to get involved. To be part of our supportive online network, join our Alumni Facebook Group; come together to sing with other alumnus by taking part in concerts and events or be part of NYCGB’s future by getting involved in fundraising initiatives to support more young people to be part of its life-changing programmes. You’ll receive all the latest news updates by signing up to our monthly alumni e-newsletter. SIGN UP FOR E-NEWS Find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We long to see you! The Alumni Committee have put together a day of Carol Singing to support the NYCGB Christmas Appeal 2019 as well as providing a bit of a seasonal social. The get together offers alumni and members the chance to sing beneath the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square for the first time! There are also two other carol singing opportunities so we really hope that if you can’t make one, you might be able to make another. There are three parts to the day: St Pancras Station 12.00 – 2.00pm Trafalgar Square 5.00 – 6.00pm The Chandos – 7.30pm The purpose of the Carol Singing is to raise money for the NYCGB Christmas Appeal 2019. NYCGB provides financial assistance to 1 in 5 young people, who wouldn’t otherwise be able to take part in its programmes. Through taking part in the day you can help more young people to take part in NYCGB’s life changing programmes. 100% of all money donated goes directly to members. This is a great way to give something back to NYCGB as well as a great opportunity to enjoy a bit of singing and socialising! We hope that you can make the lunchtime session if you can’t make the evening ones and vice versa but would obviously love it if you can make all three! These sessions are open to alumni, current members and singing friends. We will also be looking for bucket collectors for each session so if you have friends who will help with that and would like to come along, do let us know. Music booklets will be provided. Please help us to spread the word! - All Alumni are welcome - the more the merrier so why not get a group together from your generation and come and join us? Let us know you are coming! Click here to sign up on the NYCGB Alumni Facebook Page or email [email protected] (please let us know your voice part on sign up). We hope to see you there! Booking for this event has now closed.
