Announcing our Summer season of concerts and open days - book now!

NYCGB's annual Summerfest is once again offering opportunities for prospective members and music/singing teachers to find out what NYCGB is like with residential course open days in Durham, Yorkshire, Suffolk and Hertfordshire.

The concert schedule is led by the National Youth Choir's return to the Snape Proms. Inspired by NYCGB's 2018 artistic theme of 'music and the mind', the programme features world premieres of new music by Errollyn Wallen and Ben Parry, and Benjamin Britten's bounding setting of the madcap 18th century poem 'Jubilate Agno' by Christopher Smart.

The National Youth Training Choir gives two concerts, with the first also featuring a world premiere. 'Imagine it!' by Janet Wheeler is written for choir and percussion, and will feature the virtuosic talents of very special guest artists O Duo.

The National Youth Boys' Choir will be giving their concert as part of a gala performance for the Association of British Choral Directors' annual convention. Also performing are Irish chamber choir New Dublin Voices, mixed barbershop quartet Hannah and the Hurricanes, and BBC One 'Pitch Battle' winners Leeds Contemporary Singers.

The National Youth Girls' Choir, finally, are inviting their audience to 'march with them' on an innovative performance trail across the varied sites and sights of Beamish Museum in County Durham. This is an unticketed performance, with entry via Beamish Museum and a special offer for NYGC friends and family.

All NYCGB choirs will be giving additional free pop-up performances in public spaces, with details to be announced.
