Nigel Brookes joined the Board of Trustees in 2013 and is a senior officer with the Metropolitan Police Service.

His experience includes developing a multi-agency risk assessment process aimed at safeguarding the most vulnerable youth victims of crime, and management and investigation of domestic violence, missing persons and vulnerable adults. As NYCGB's Trustee Lead for Safeguarding, Nigel is a direct contact for our staff both in the year-round administration, and on courses.

Prior to policing, Nigel read music at Edinburgh University and completed two years of singing training as a postgraduate at the Royal College of Music. He enjoyed a career as a freelance singer working with groups including The Sixteen, The Cardinall's Musick and Dunedin Consort.
