"It was whilst at university when I was introduced to the UK's National Youth Choir, becoming a member of the National Youth Choir and the Chamber Choir before joining the staff team and eventually moving to my current role of General Manager. Alongside my work with the National Youth Choir I work as a freelance singer and conductor, previously working as Musical Director for Huddersfield Choral Society Youth Choir, Durham Cathedral Young Singers, and Quay Lasses at Sage Gateshead and currently holding the post of Musical Director for Newcastle Choral Society. I am a passionate advocate for the benefits of singing and act as a Trustee for the Durham Music Trust. It is a privilege to be working for an organisation which is so committed to providing high quality, accessible opportunities to so many young people."
