When did you or your child first find a passion for singing? Through our SING! Programme we aim to provide all young people, like William below, the opportunity to also develop their passion for singing.

“The SING! Programme was very fun, and I learnt a lot. It really helped me to make friends and gave me a new appreciation of singing. It made me want to join the National Youth Choir and go on a residential course. As a boy, it felt nice to have other boys there singing, as I am quite often either alone or in a small number of boys.” – William, successfully auditioned to join the National Youth Choir (9-15 Years) in 2023

With your kind help, between the 19-26 March we are aiming to raise £10,000 to help support young people like William to continue SING!ing in 2024. SING! annually provides free high-quality musical learning opportunities to 240 disadvantaged young people who lack access to musical opportunities in their home region. The structured programme aims to develop their vocal abilities and confidence to progress their passion for singing regionally and with the National Youth Choir.

“I loved the residential course. It was really fun. I enjoyed being able to meet up with people from around the country and work with some of the incredible teachers and the rest of the choir.” – William

The good news is that we only need to secure £5,000, as all donations will be doubled by the Big Give!

Each SING! Programme engages 60 young singers aged between 7-16 in their home region, where we know there is a gap in musical provision. Our expert team design tailored programmes with partners in each community, with sessions spread across the year. All SING!ers develop their musical and vocal skills, explore diverse music, meet other local young singers, and experience a taster of what singing with the National Youth Choir is like. At the end of the scheme, participants, like William, can join a free workshop-based audition to become a member if they choose!

You can make your donation to our Big Give appeal from midday on the 19 March until midday on the 26 March 2024 via the below link. Thank you for helping us give young people, like William, a unique opportunity to pursue their passion for singing through our targeted regional SING! Programmes!

Our SING! for All appeal is now closed

We were delighted to have raised a grand total of £11,069.14 which will directly support young people like William through the SING! programme.
