Launched in 2015 the NYCGB Fellowship Programme is a unique training scheme for aspiring choral musicians which develops solo and ensemble performance technique, leadership experience, and professional skills and networks. Each year, eight outstanding candidates aged 18-25 are selected from open auditions to join the programme.

Now in its fifth year, the eight new fellows were selected following auditions in June 2019. They will gain excellent opportunities through the scheme through a wide and varied programme of performance, tuition and mentoring as well as working alongside the NYCGB team to learn about and deliver workshops and activities to young singers in educational and community settings across the UK. They will also lead the National Youth Choir of Great Britain in performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and have the prestigious honour of representing Great Britain at the World Symposium on Choral Music (WSCM 2020) in Auckland, New Zealand from the 15 – 18 July 2020, alongside the National Youth Choir.
