NYCGB Choirs & Programmes Return to In-Person Singing in Summer 2021

Following the Government’s recent announcements, we are delighted that we are now in a position to begin to re-establish in-person activity with our choir members and programmes again this summer. Residential courses are now permitted to go ahead, allowing children to attend in consistent groups (bubbles) of up to 30.

The safety, wellbeing and happiness of our members and staff remains our number one priority. We are proud of our reputation for excellent musical and pastoral experiences and we will be doing all we can to mitigate the risks of Covid transmission and ensure that singers have a safe and enjoyable experience with NYCGB this summer. As the restrictions ease further, we plan a return to public performances for our Girls’, Boys’ and Training Choirs in 2022.

Anne Besford, Chief Executive, NYCGB Said:

We are delighted to be able to meet once again in person with our choir members this summer. While we are very proud of what we achieved online over the last year and a half - and feedback from members and parents/carers supports that this has been extremely welcome and highly valued – we know that there is no replacement for singing together face to face, and we are heartened by the possibilities that the recent easing of restrictions is allowing. We will be doing all that we can to keep our members and staff safe and well as we support their return to singing together once again.
