Voting Opens for National Youth Choir recording to be in Classic FM's Hall of Fame

In October 2018 The National Youth Choir gave the world premiere of The Great War Symphony by Patrick Hawes. This epic works' first performance took place at Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall, and was written to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of the end of the conflict.

The National Youth Choir also recorded the official album of the new work which was released last year on the Classic FM label, going straight to the top of the Classical chart on release.

Now fans of the work can vote for it to be included in Classic FM’s annual Hall of Fame.

The Classic FM Hall of Fame is the largest poll of the world's favourite classical music, and takes place annually in January. Voters can nominate their top three pieces of music, and at Easter the countdown from 300 is begun and the new Classic FM Hall of Fame, revealed.

It's quick and simple to vote. Click on the link below, type in ‘The Great War Symphony’ and you will see the piece by Patrick Hawes appear. You will then be asked for your second and third choices.
